Thanks for responding to our email. As we explained, J.C. Wheeler had to give up the original site a while back, although he's still very much alive and well.
What we have now is really a new website, but we're focusing on the same objectives as always: Preserving the history of the EC-47 and the legacy of the men who flew and supported that fine old bird during the war in Southeast Asia. Click on "Home" at the top of the screen or any of the black bars on the left to check out the new content.
For example, we've obtained many of the now declassified unit histories of both the front end (TEWS) and back end (6994th Security Squadron) units, so after 50 years you can feel free to tell the grandkids what we did over there!
"Official" histories are nice, but we're still looking for material from the guys who were there. We've preserved as much of the original site as possible, but unfortunately some of the content has been lost. While we're all hunkered down waiting out COVID 19, dig out those old photos, jog the ol' memory banks, and share some memories from your tour. If you want to stroll down memory lane first, click here to visit the original site.
If you'd like to leave a shout out to former squadron mates, just click on the Guestbook tab and go for it. If you'd rather limit your response or have questions, use the form below. This page can only be seen by those who responded to the email.
Thanks again, and please do let us hear more from you!
