John says, he was a Captaind (Major Select with the 361st Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron from April 1960 to April 1970. Arrived Nha Trang AB, 29 April after standard approach through England, Fairchild, and Clark ABs. Did four 3-week TDYs to NKP supporting the detachment at that location between July and November. Squadron moved to Phu Cat in Sept. Selected to support the 360th at Ton Son Nhut in Dec 69. Finished tour on 20 April 69 with 161 missions. Next assignment, 24th SOPS, Howard AB, Canal Zone. (70-74, VC-118 missions to Central & South America)

John supplied this information on his father, John W. Banks II.
My father, John W. Banks II, served as a Major and a Pilot with the 362nd Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron at Pleiku in 1967/68.
Prior to that assignment he was assigned to Big Eye/College Eye Task Force(SEA) flying EC-121's with the 552nd AEW&C Wing. He has just recently passed away (7 Dec 2007) at the VA Hospital, in Marion, Indiana. He was buried with Military Honors.
